sick break

No recaps till Monday night at the soonest. Check out the RSS 2.0 feeds.

I thought I was feeling a lot better yesterday – I had a lot of energy late in the day, and I got really motivated to do some programming stuff (which is oddly usual for when I’m sick or recovering). But Sunday, I’ve been out of it and tried again. So no Heat or Velocity tonight; I only made it through the first match before realizing I couldn’t really focus enough to be useful. Maybe Velocity Monday night, but more likely Tuesday before anything article wise gets posted from me.

What I do have done, which will be helpful once I start posting things again, is create a RSS/XML feed that mirrors the update box over there on the left side. If you use my.yahoo.com or a RSS reader, and are dying to have an updated listing of what’s been posted when, here you go

thecubsfan.com (these entries) – http://www.thecubsfan.com/index.xml
thecubsfan.com – articles – http://www.thecubsfan.com/articles.xml
cmllblog – http://www.thecubsfan.com/cmll/index.xml

I figure the two actual useful ones will be the CMLL and articles ones, because I go through such effort to make near random titles for these entries. I don’t have useful descriptions for the articles feed yet, but I’m just trying to figure out the best way to extract them from the articles. (The descriptions for the other ones are just the first 50-so words of these articles, which may or may not be actually useful either. Although this one might be different.)

I’ve got RSS 1.0 feeds of the blogs too if you need ’em. If you know what that is, you probably can figure out what the links are, anyway. If anyone uses any of this, let me know. I think it’s neat even if no one does, but if there’s a way I can make it better, I’d only know about it because someone used it.

Cubs! Tomorrow! I suspect that I’ll be lucky if I have time to listen to the game, much less do bad posts about it.
